Meet Calum — a 10-year-old explorer with muddy boots, a curious mind, and a notebook full of discoveries!
He’s home-educated and spends loads of time in his grandad’s garden, carefully jotting observations into his nature journal. Birds, bugs, leaves… if it’s outdoors, Calum wants to know all about it.
When he’s not exploring, you’ll find him baking treats with his Granny, fixing gadgets in his grandad’s shed, or hanging out with friends in his treehouse.
For Calum, the world outside is the best classroom there is — nature is his teacher.

Meet Hazel and Catkin — at 9 years old, these Morffledoo twins couldn’t be more opposite…
Hazel lives for speed, thrills, and daring missions. She pilots her spaceship as fast as it can possibly go and dreams of exploring every corner of Planet Morffle. If the air weren’t so polluted, she’d be out adventuring nonstop!
Catkin, on the other hand, prefers things calm, cozy, and close to home. She sticks with slow-and-steady space rides, loves hanging out with her parents, and would much rather stay inside than chase danger.

Hazel and Catkin’s family adds even more character to life on Planet Morffle.
Their mum isn’t feeling very well these days — the polluted air makes it hard for her to breathe or walk very far. She loves curling up in front of the wall-screen, watching nature programs that remind her of what Planet Morffle used to be like… green, bright, and full of life.
Their dad works from home all day on his computer — and nobody is quite sure what his job actually is. When he finally logs off, he jumps into video games with players from all over Planet Morffle. He’s not a fan of going outside… indoors is where he feels most comfortable.

These days, the skies are grey and the air is thick with smog. No one can step outside without wearing a mask, and factories pour their waste straight into the rivers. Green spaces have vanished, and the animals that once roamed freely are now only memories.
It’s a dull, damaged world that desperately needs change.

It’s a thriving food forest packed with edible and medicinal plants, winding paths, and delicious surprises growing everywhere you look.
Chickens wander freely between leafy paths, a pond hums with dragonflies and frogs, and nearby you’ll find an orchard, vegetable patches, and sweet-smelling herb gardens.
And then there’s Grandad’s legendary shed — crammed with tools, wood, and half-built inventions just waiting to happen. Built using smart permaculture principles, the whole garden is designed to work in harmony with nature.
It’s wild. It’s wonderful. The perfect place for adventure.
